As the Home of Sport in New Zealand, Sky is about all levels of sport, from grassroots right through to the elite. Sky Sport Next will showcase more than 50 New Zealand sports codes and thousands of events that wouldn’t otherwise be seen. The sports will all be streamed free for all New Zealanders to watch on a Sky Sport Next YouTube channel, and some content will also be broadcast on Sky Sport, Sky’s sport streaming service Sky Sport Now, and free-to-air on Prime. |

 Mike got into croquet 20 years ago and of course “one thing led to another”… Based in Nelson, he makes mallets and handles from scratch in a commercial workshop that is bursting at the seams. He is looking forward to next winter when he expands into the building next door. His great love is finding solutions to challenges and that is evident in the way he has evolved the Terminator Mallets range from the early days. The mallet range now includes mallets based on timber at the entry level, then Aluminium for mid-range, and Carbon Fibre at the top end. Building from scratch has meant designing machines to do a lot of the day-to-day work, and his computer-controlled machines do a wonderful job of that. He says though, “My greatest asset are my staff who handle assembly and orders. I just couldn’t do without Sandi and Lorna. About 2 years back Mike took over the Quadway Hoops business. About half of the Quadways are used in New Zealand. Australia Croquet is insisting on Quadways in many states and the Americans are finding that they work well in their soft soils. Mike is a regular player in AC and GC, both here and overseas, and is a regular exhibitor at events. He really enjoys having a chat about croquet stuff so when you see him.. Stop and say hello. |
